Relaxation Exercise
The relaxation exercise was definitely a well needed break for this class in particular. I was in the middle of doing the readings for this class and trying to multiple discussion boards, so I took a break and listened to the relaxation link. I was able to clear my mind and relax my muscles. I personally like to relax in my own way by just sitting on the couch and just watching some casual TV, but this exercise was kind of like taking a yoga class to me. Relaxation techniques are essential for our busy lives, and everyone needs to take a break every now and then.

ReplyDeleteDid you experience any of the heaviness in your arms that was being suggested by the speaker? I really did not think I would, but it turns out that I did. I was very impressed by how relaxed I felt afterwards. I agree that we all need relaxtion time and that we do not take enough of this time in general. It is really beneficial to our overall health to take this time to quiet our minds, wouldn't you agree?

ReplyDeleteI, too, like to watcht tv to relax but sometimes the stuff I watch gets me worked up (Dexter, Homeland, True Blood...just a few of my faves). I am a yoga enthusiast so I find that to be the most relaxing, for the most part. I also enjoy listening to music, especially my yoga music playlist while doing homework. I think it stimulates my brain in a relaxing way. Good luck in class & I look forward to reading your future blogs.
